I always recommend that companies disclose their breaches. I was very happy with recent disclosures that focused on the safety and security of customers instead of hiding the breaches, which, when it comes out shows an obvious disregard for customers, and also an obvious show of protecting the bottom line. So I applaud any company that provides notification, and will work with any company to help reduce the effects of a breach. Kudos to any company that is brave enough to do the right thing and admit attacks. It also helps central security organizations to get a better picture of the situation.

Maybe these companies don’t trust the government.
