Judgments, settlements and payments made to claimants should be a matter of public record. Gag orders work against the public and should not be allowed, or perhaps we should just call them bribes.

I can tell you first hand that the Pennsylvania DEP is worthless and doesn’t do any investigation. We have a factory near us that blows poisinous fumes and does it after 4:30pm, quittin’ time for the bureaocrats. I’ve dealt with a guy at DEP/EPA for 5 yrs about it, he deoesn’t work after 4:30. He doesn’t even have an air quality tester! He is the point of contact at the Agency FOR CLEAN AIR!! I aske dhim point blank then that I guess it was ok to corporately pollute afer 4? He has no answer. My children are being harmed, my son is always congested, we always know when this company was cooking their cauldron before we even step outside due to the way we all react, and that is is a SEALED house.

Is this a “factory” or a fracking operation?

Mr. Reagan, in all due respect, why not move?

Well James, most likely he doesn’t move because who would buy a house with that outside? Same reason home values plunge when fracking moves in. Not property values like the Oil and Gas companies tout, those do go up. But try selling your house if you live within 2000 feet of a well and don’t own the mineral rights.

Interesting that their attorneys appear to have skimmed off about 55 percent of the Hallowich settlement. Ouch. Who’s profiting there?

What says it all is how apathic our government is in the articles discussion of the EPA test results: “An EPA spokeswoman declined to release the results.” Why – where is the EPA in all this? What is their mission statemen?? I can only assume that the gas companies are donating big dollars to politicians who then pressure the EPA to keep their mouth shut.

The reason the EPA does not release the results is because the EPA has not found conclusive evidence that fracking is dangerous. There is no “payoff” by gas companies, considering that the Obama Administration is making big subsidies to renewable energy firms.

Chris, are you kidding that energy companies do not influence politicians? Do you think the same of other industries such as the Investment Banking, Healthcare, Tabacco, etc? Or do you have a vested interest in the Energy business. I own shares of Natural Gas companies so I can point to my own self for supporting them. You probably do not think there is any problem with GMO’s in your food because the FDA says they are ok also?
