We should have expected these sports “injuries”suits to expand with all of the hungry lawyers, and all of the millions of dollars involved. Did any of these sports clowns believe they could play their games and never sustain any temporary or permanent injuries? Isn’t that one of the reasons why the get paid the multi-million dollar salaries? Most of these guys have very low IQs, and could not earn anywhere near the salaries they were paid to bang their heads together. Anyone REALLY feel sorry for these money-grubbers or their every buck we can get lawyers?
I believe I read a recent article that stated that 78% of ex-NFL players are broke and/or bankrupt. Which probably encourages many of them to join into this type of lawsuit and look for any way possible to make money. It’s evident these players are not equipped to handle money and/or not prepared for the working world. Too bad because so many attended some of the best schools in the country.
Saying that they were “not equipped to handle money” suggests that it’s not their fault that they blew their money irresponsibly. They were over the age of 18; they were plenty old enough to know better. Personal responsibility. Why is it, that, when a poor person buys a cell phone, they are being irresponsible freeloaders, but when a rich guy blows his fortune, it’s not his fault?
Nate Newton was so broke after he retired, he tried distributing marijuana. Stopped him on the freeway and found 3 Kilos in the trunk of his car. He told the officer it must be someone else’s. Unfortunately, the authorities didn’t believe him and he spent some time behind bars.

If these players were medicated to the gills to play, what were the teams testing for when they peed in a bottle? Marijuana, cocaine only? Hmm!

“Attended” being the key word.
Or more appropriately, “got a free ride” being the key words.
