Most Plaintiff’s lie to enhance their claim and their attorneys do not want to do anything to reduce their potential for ill-gotten gains, so this is what can happen. It would occur more often but for all the restrictions on discovery courts routinely grant to plaintiffs. Not the first or last time this will happen, but certainly a black eye for two of the countries “top” plaintiffs’ lawyers!

To Robert Hilliard and Steve Berman,
Isn’t it basic law 101 to vet a client? If you don’t like learning from a book, watch The Good Wife on Sunday nights on CBS. They show many good examples of what a lawyer is supposed to do.

Tort Reform does work when done properly and nuisance claims generally decline when lawyers know they are likely to lose. Make the lawyers pay all court costs when they lose and they might think twice about filing.
