Good idea. All we need to do is take all those vehicles without the system and have a new “Cash for Clunkers” program and get them off the roads.

i can’t wait until you buy a new car as a senior citizen and that mandatory feature saves your life because you’re old and can’t react as quickly as you used to.

I worry. If it takes cues like the warning system in my brand new Acura that occasionally flashes the “BRAKE” light for no apparent reason, I may be rear-ended by someone who doesn’t have the system just because a blowing leaf crossed my path 1500 yards ahead.

Maybe not such a good idea; I am retired Law enforcement officer and this is one hell of a way to possibly be car jacked or worse kidnapped or other wise.

All a Perp (bad guy) is to have to get in front of your vehicle whether it be themselves or another vehicle to have your vehicle stopped.

Joseph, One of my best friends is a retired Police chief. He still carries his Glock around in his car. Woe to the perp that tries to car jack him. The people that don’t carry are the ones who might have a problem, especially young mothers with a couple of kids in the car.
