The last time I checked, a pilot put the plane on auto-pilot and he had a co-pilot up there with him. I prefer to keep it that way and several hundred passengers also prefer it that way.
Sounds like you’re pro autonomous vehicles! The first round WILL force a driver to put it in auto-pilot mode and have a steering wheel/pedals so the driver can take it off auto-pilot. Glad you finally came around!
Our industry has always been up to the challenge of new and emerging risk. We’ll do just fine with this one as well. And, just think what this can do to minimize drunk driving. Many choose to drink and drive because they don’t want to leave their car behind. Well, if the car can drive that person home, win/win.

They’ll be out sooner than 20 years. You may not get one, but others surely will. You fly in planes which are on auto-pilot, why not a car?
