This is very disconcerting. How did OSHA not realize that there was a pattern with the volume of complaints?

Does OSHA stand for Occupational Safety and Health Administration? What do they have to do with this case. They usually don’t concern themselves unless employees are injured on the job. This case is not about that.

OSHA has authority to investigate whistleblower cases under a 2002 amendment to Sarbanes Oxley Act, details of which escape me at this late hour and several adult beverages.

I know how they didn’t realize it, insurance_guy. OSHA is a government agency, that’s how.

Same type of thing has been going on at Allstate. Agents are threated their contract if they do not write a certain amount of life insurance and/or financial products. Allstate doesn’t seem to care if the client needs it, they just want the sales. It is awful the stress the agents are put under. I left/sold my book of business about 8.5 years ago for that reason.

Same thing going on at Allstate. Agents are constantly threatened their contract status if they don’t write a certain amount of life and or financial services a year. The numbers are increased every year and are un realistic. I sold my book about 8.5 years ago and have not looked back. The are a great P&C company and should stick with that. Pressure put upon employees can cause a lot of problems like Wells Fargo.

What did you call the lies of Reagan, Bush, Bush, Cheney and every con Pres or Presidential handler like Cheney who lied, failed to defend the country on 9/11, lied to start wars for profit, lied about sacrificing our troops in the con wars for profit and lied about who created ISIS. They lied about the recession and who was behind that failure. Clintons are amateurs compared to cons.

That is true. Regulators complained that their reports of trouble were ignored by the Bush Admin. President Bush claims he tried to rein In Fan and Fred after the horse was out of the barn. It was only for show. John McCain’s friend and former economic adviser Phil Gramm “stripped safeguards that would have protected us.” Graham Leach Bliley Act Sen. John McCain and Republican allies who supported banking deregulation that contributed to the mess. Naturally this was dismissed by supporters of the GLA mess as irrelevant
What Gramm-Leach-Bliley did was to allow commercial banks to get into investment banking. Commercial banks are the type that accept deposits and make loans such as mortgages; investment banks accept money for investment into stocks and commodities. In 1998, regulators had allowed Citicorp, a commercial bank, to acquire Traveler’s Group, an insurance company that was partly involved in investment banking, to form Citigroup. That was seen as a signal that Glass-Steagall was a dead letter as a practical matter, and Gramm-Leach-Bliley made its repeal formal.

PJ, OSHA isn’t responsive to most things. They are just another bloated bureaucracy which could easily be done away with. Hopefully, Trump will look into a lot of agencies, administrations and decide they should pack up and leave.

How is he going go do that from prison? His Trump U trial is coming and he will go to prison. There’s more than a decade of evading taxing, fleecing the public and cheating the rest of the taxpayers into paying for defense, security, schools, police an fire etc that he refuses to pay for. He’s the scum that this country will shove down the throats of his supporters on his way back to obscurity where he belongs.

Trump has become the champion of liars and turning this country’s next election into a disgraceful display of all that’s wrong in America. Companies like Wells Fargo would be praised by Donald Trump. He thinks paying no taxes is smart and good business. He prefers the little people pay taxes and fund the defense of this country, care for wounded vets, police, fire, schools and everything else we must pay more for because of scum like Trump. Even more insane, the little people getting fleeced by Trump, love him, which proves once again, there is no substitute for an IQ.

Here’s my take on the election, which nobody asked for.

Trump–Insults women, veterans (“John McCain is not a hero. I prefer people who haven’t been shot down”), disabled reporters, minorities; has a history of infidelities, openly lies (“The IRS is audits me because I’m such a strong Christian”), lots of questionable business decisions, plus has been sued more times than any presidential candidate in history. This is just scratching the surface of his character, unfortunately. Trump supporters: Ask yourself, if he was a Democrat, wouldn’t you be appalled at all of this?

Clinton–Openly lies yet completely denies it when caught, has made several “questionable” business decisions over the years (the Clinton Foundation, Whitewater, etc), has that whole email problem which anyone else would have been prosecuted for (you really believe the 30,000 emails she deleted were all about yoga and other non-work related issues?), still has some questions about Benghazi which have never been answered and likely never will be, plus the whole “sticking with Bill” issue. This is also just scratching the surface of her character. Hillary supporters, ask yourself: If she was a Republican, wouldn’t you be appalled at all of this?

Gary Johnson–Guy’s nuts. Too bad; would’ve been nice to have a viable 3rd party candidate this year.

Folks, we’re SCREWED. You honestly mean to tell me that this is the best we can do???

I sincerely wish everyone out there all the best today. Make it a good day for yourself and someone else.

As in most elections, this one is a matter of finding the least objectionable candidate and voting accordingly.

However, in this election, we also must decide to continue the status quo of electing someone with name recognition and an affiliation with another past elected official, or breaking with tradition and taking the risk that a career businessman knows better than career politicians how to fix the economy, create jobs, and protect US citizens from harm by foreign invaders and terrorists.

If you despise politicians who are looking to enrich themselves and their cronies who donate to them, vote for someone who has already attained great wealth and who knows what is wrong with our Country as it exists today, after almost eight years of destructive policies that will be continued by a member of the same party.
