True. Here in Nebraska, there were tens of thousands of out-of-towners, most of which stayed in hotels along the path of totality, while many others camped in state parks and at public campgrounds. It was a huge boon to local small-town economies.
Saw a brief interview with a lady from California who went to Oregon to see it. They asked her how long it would take to get back home in that traffic and she said 20 hours. Was it worth it to her? She said yes. Well, she was from California so we understand.
