Chicago’s murder rate is about in line with other major cities. But, that’s not an act of God like the imbecile above addressed. Unless you believe everything is an act of God,which is dumb.
Just use the standard definition, word-parsing genius. Nice disappearing act after data was posted. If you don’t exclude cities with fewer than 100k people it’s even further from the top.

Or is it man that turned their back to God with their sin and pride and because of it we now live in a fallen world dealing with the choices we make daily to satisfy our sinful nature but have consequences that come along with it? Hmmm…
If you learn why Sodom & Gomorrah were destroyed, you will see that the true sin of humanity doesn’t happen between bed sheets, it happens in the streets.
You’re missing the cause & effect link to the issue of crime in the street. Go study social issues more and return with a better post.

You response indicates that you have no idea what my post was referring to. Go read your Bible and get back to me when you figure out why S&G were destroyed.
It’s a weird position to take that line of reasoning, since God would have had to create the hurricane in the first place, and then allowed the deaths of dozens of people throughout the Caribbean and Florida to take place, not to mention all the mental anguish and suffering.
If God is intervening to knick a storm slightly off course, why allow it to happen at all? If free will truly exists, does man not deserve to reap the rewards and struggles that he causes for himself? If man has created the climate environment that we find ourselves in (agreed upon by 99% of scientists worldwide, disagreed upon by non-scientists in America), then do we not deserve the amplified problems that come with it?
Should God step in and prevent the forest fires, the blighted crops, the floods, droughts, hurricanes, tornadoes and so on? Should he save some and allow others to die? If we do not act truly as stewards of the Earth, as was commanded in Genesis, how can we expect to receive any of the blessings that the Earth provides us?
If we do not take care of our environment, our environment will take care of us, guaranteed.
God spared my state because he loves us more than the sinners, like Agent, in Texas. That’s the only rational outcome if you go off the OP,along with your point about the elimination of free will.
Not commenting on anyone’s belief in God. That is your personal choice. It just seems to me that God wouldn’t promise there wouldn’t be storms or sickness but just that God would face those with us and comfort us. Just my thought to share.
Goes to show that God is in charge no matter how smart man thinks he is.

define ‘about in line’. Use numbers to make your claim.

Cripes. Probably one of the worst collection of posts I have read.
