Champe Fitzhugh, Jr. announced he is back in business with Waco, Texas-based Fitzhugh Insurance and Bonds, after purchasing his non-compete agreement from the firm to which he sold Fitzhugh & Co. Insurance Agency in 2000.
Fitzhugh, who is president of the new firm, announced that Jamie Irvin joined the company as executive vice president. Irvin is past president of the Independent Agents of Waco and the Insurance Women of Waco.
Fitzhugh said he is a third-generation Texas insurance professional, noting that his grandfather, E.E. Fitzhugh, was one of the founding members of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas. He and his father, Champe Fitzhugh, are former Drex G. Foreman Award winners.
