MHBT Partner Named President-Elect of Dallas Independent Agent Group

Privately owned insurance and risk management firm, McQueary Henry Bowles Troy L.L.P. (MHBT), announced that Pat Arthur, a partner in the firm, has been appointed to serve as president-elect of the board of directors for the Independent Insurance Agents of Dallas (IIAD). Arthur has been a member of the IIAD’s Board of Directors since 2003.

In his role as president-elect, Arthur will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations for the IIAD, in coordination with the organization’s executive committee. He will also be accountable for reporting on these activities to the IIAD’s board of directors.

Arthur has 25 years of experience in the insurance and risk management profession with significant expertise in the hospitality, real estate, construction, non-profit and technology industries. Before joining MHBT in 1998, Arthur held executive positions with two major insurance companies – one domestic, one UK – and also served as COO of a major broker firm in the South.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Arkansas, with a major in finance and a minor in insurance. Arthur also completed the Executive Leadership Program at The Wharton School – University of Pennsylvania in 2003.

Additionally, Arthur is extremely involved in the professional and business communities, serving as a member and now president-elect of the board of directors for IIAD, a member of the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, executive director of Globex International, a member of the Zurich National Advisory Council and a member of the Liberty Mutual Property National Advisory Council.
