Gov. Brad Henry has vetoed bills dealing with liability insurance and what can be said at teacher meeting.
Henry struck down the measures late Tuesday night. His veto total for the year now stands at 18.
One bill restricted the ability of people to collect damages in traffic accidents if they had no liability insurance. He says the bill went too far in penalizing motorists injured in an accident that was not their fault.
Henry says a bill banning anyone from talking at teacher meetings about elections or ballot questions encroaches on freedom of speech.
