What a great idea! The cost is definitely better than that of a DUI or a lost life.

I am also looking for coverage for a risk of this nature.

I am guessing that they need a non-owner’s auto policy that would be excess over the insurance carried on the auto being driven. The DD driver is an “insured” under the vehicle’s policy because of the permission granted in the transaction. Also there would need to be coverage for loading and unloading on the auto policy. If there is an exposure that exists after the unloading,. that would need to be covered by a CGL policy. Although the Physical Damage on the customer’s auto would be primary, they should have some form of Garage Keepere Legal Liability that would cover in the event the customer’s car had no physical damage insurance.

THis is a beneficial service. I hope that we can find carriers to properly insure this type of operation.

The reason you cannot find it is because you will never know who is driving the car. This looks like a scam .
