Gov’t workers such as clerks of court perform ministerial duties. These are defined as acts which follow a specific procedure without the use of judgment. These acts apply equally to all citizens. Religion should not play a role. Can a gov’t employee cite their own religious beliefs to deny a license to an interracial couple? What about a couple with tattoos? What about a Hindu couple? This is nothing more than political pandering wrapped in a facade of “religious freedom.”

Are they going to deny divorces too?

No, they’re going to have to honor divorces as well. They do get to remain brother and sister though.

Right Mickey! Most conservatives believe that divorce is wrong from a religious/moral standpoint and is anti-family values. That is unless your name is:

Ronald Reagan, Karl Rove, Mark Sanford, George Will, Charlie Christ, John McCain, Bob Dole, Carly Fiorina, Glenn Beck, Joe Scarborough, Rush, Newt, Rudy, Dr. Laura, Kissinger, and/or Trump.

Charlie Christ? Is that Jesus’ brother?

Yes. Not only did he have a brother, but he has been divorced. And to make matters even worse, he lives in Florida.
