Crawford & Company, an independent provider of claims management solutions to insurance companies and self-insured entities, and based in Atlanta, announced new contracts with both Royal & Sun Alliance (R&SA) and The Hartford Financial Services Group.
Crawford & Company International’s U.K. operation was chosen by R&SA as nominated external adjuster for personal and commercial claims work in the United Kingdom, effective on a phased basis over coming weeks.
As nominated service provider, Crawford will support R&SA’s in-house loss adjusting capability. The new deal was won in the face of stiff competition from other loss adjusting companies and is largely attributable to Crawford’s new service based approach to claims handling, in particular the deployment of client specific business units.
Crawford’s plans with R&SA include supporting brokers, improving communication, and reducing the claims process time. In addition, Crawford will be increasing deployment of ePRIME, the company’s web-enabled claims enquiry system.
The contract with The Hartford Financial Services Group is for the provision of independent adjuster services for property claims.
