Why does Florida Insurance Laws protect home owner insurance after a hurricane when the carrier can’t handle the dollar amount, the state steps in to make sure all claims are paid.
Why doesn’t the same garentee apply to injured workers who need health care.
I think the state should be involved in over seeing of health care for injured workers through the DWC as far as all necessary authorizations go, one so authorization will accure in a timely manner and the the state should garentee to the doctor that he/she will get paid in a timely manner and instead of the insurance companies using Privet Investigators, who will and do manipulate information in order to get paid. Instead of allowing someone who is injured and in pain to be terrorised the DWC can use the same money spent to have a couselor go around and insure that the appropriate health care is being given and that fraud is not being commited, this would save money and head aches and the intent of the constitution to the concern for the General Wellfare would possibly be more satisfied.
No one I have met likes the way things are now and with the laws not allowing for pain and suffering when neglect or mismanagement accures, there is no liability on any of the professionals involved who make money, to do the right thing.
In the current set up, there are plenty of incentives to not do the right thing as my case is abundent with errors and the only one to have too face consequences of these errors is me, the injured guy who is trying to get back to having a life, pain and medication free with the intent of never doing business with any of these people ever again!
