ELIOS Plantation, Fla. Office to Serve the East Coast

March 16, 2005

A new Plantation, Fla. office has been opened by ELIOS, a San Ramon, Calif. provider of paperless solutions technology for property and casualty insurance companies.

Mario Garcia, ELIOS’ director of information technology, is managing the office, with support services provided by Tiffany Torres. The office is the first ELIOS satellite and will enable the company to improve customer service to its growing base of clients nationwide.

“Our new Florida presence allows us to oversee the processing of information sent to us from our east coast clients three hours earlier,” Garcia said. He said the new office will also have a complete backup system of all the servers in ELIOS’ corporate headquarters in California. “If the California servers go down for any reason, we can immediately go online from Florida, with no downtime in serving our clients’ needs.”

The Florida office will extend ELIOS’ early morning support hours so that east coast clients will be able to obtain immediate answers to technical questions or concerns beginning at 8 a.m. EST.

“This expansion represents a major move forward for us,” Jordi Huguet, ELIOS president and CEO said. “By expanding our presence to the east coast, we can keep our clients’ data even safer and serve our rapidly growing customer base more quickly and effectively.”

ELIOS, a paperless solutions technology company for property and casualty insurance companies was founded in 1999. The firm pioneered the use of technologies to harness the power of the Internet and relational databases to send legally required documents from insurance companies to financial institutions.
