The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation will conduct rate hearings May 3 in Tallahassee to discuss a 24 percent rate hike requested by Cotton States Mutual Insurance Company of Florida; and May 4 in Orlando to discuss a 35.2 percent increase requested by St. Johns Insurance Co.
According to the office, requested rates are not uniform and some areas are subject to higher or lower rate changes.
The hearing in Tallahassee will be at 2 p.m. at the Larson Building, Room 116, 200 East Gaines Street.
The hearings in Orlando will be at noon and 6 p.m. at the Hurston Building, 400 W. Robinson St., South Tower (1st Floor), Conference Rooms A & B.
