St. Johns Enters South Carolina Homeowners Insurance Market
July 27, 2009
St. Johns Insurance Co., a Florida domiciled property and casualty insurer, has expanded its presence into the South Carolina homeowner insurance market.
Insuring more than 200,000 policyholders in Florida, St. Johns specializes in personal lines of insurance.
Initially, St. Johns said it will offer insurance for single family dwellings as well as condominium units.
"We have had South Carolina in our plans for expansion from day one. Our familiarity with the state through our business partners allows for a very smooth entry into the South Carolina market," said Reese Bowen, president of St. Johns, which enjoys an "A" Exceptional rating from Demotech, Inc.
