Brian Schwarzbach has been named vice president of underwriting at North Carolina-based Atlantic Casualty Insurance Co., a member of the Strickland Insurance Group.
Schwarzbach has been in the excess and surplus lines industry for 25 years, including the past two and half years with Atlantic Casualty. He has held underwriting, marketing and product development positions, with carriers and managing general agencies.
He will assume many of the duties of Kyle Biddinger, who is no longer with the company.
Atlantic Casualty writes commercial insurance through wholesale brokers. It is currently offering commercial general liability, property and package programs in one state on an admitted basis and 46 states on a non-admitted basis.
The Strickland Insurance Group also includes Strickland Insurance Brokers, a wholesale brokerage, and American Claims Service, an independent claims adjusting firm.
Schwarzbach will relocate from the company’s Dallas office to Atlantic
Casualty’s headquarters in Goldsboro, North Carolina. The company also has an office in Hartford.
