This Company is run by a bunch of Thieves, we pay exorbitant premiums yet they cut what they actually cover, and chances are when we do need to claim, the money just wont be there.
Typical of anything Government run .

Fred, their premiums are much lower than most other carriers. I know, I do quotes all day long. They are usually about $1k less a year than other companies.

It’s the AGENTS, placing business with Citizens that don’t need to be in Citizens. Citizens should have just raised their rates instead of cutting coverage because the only thing most customers seem to care about is the bottom line premium, and they don’t care if they only have $100k liab or no pool cage coverage. There are plenty of markets out there writing in most counties. Agents should not be writing Citizens EXCEPT as a last resort.

True, they can offer the low rates because they are subsidized by the taxpayer who will also bear the burden of the loss if incurred. We need to abolish these types of taxpayer scams! If someone wants to build a mansion on the beach they should be paying the costs, if noone will insure it, IT SHOULD NOT BE BUILT!

Doesn’t seem to be very different than Enron, or Adelphia, or HelathSouth, or Tyco, or WorldCom or any number of businesses. Any organization is only as good as its people.
