I’m more curious about “Waiting for space in a federal prison”!! Forget the country club federal prison and put them in with the general population.. They are thieves just like the guys who steal cars.. put them in a regular prison.
Stokes was cited to pay a total of $16.5 million in court-ordered restitution. He’s 61 and unemployed. At current payback of $200 / week, that’s…1,587 years. May he live so long.
Sorry Comrade… these folks are the 1% keeping up their taxpayer funded thievery. Their restitution is in the MILLIONS each! The 47% can only imagine what stealing MILLIONS at a time is like. Another curious comment in the article is that they’re “waiting for a room” in a federal prison? Just who is he related to? If this was you or me they would find a room PDQ. White collar crime affects us all.
“”There’s always fraud in the crop insurance system, but I’ve seen nothing to suggest it is pervasive,” Babcock said. “Eighty percent of the program costs are supported by the federal government. Some people see defrauding taxpayers like cheating on their income taxes.””
Gee, and I wonder how some people are gong to view the Obamacare govt program? Will there then be an “always” scenario once that is up and running?
Oh, has anyone looked at the new 15-page family application that the new Obamacare has posted just to qualify & apply for Obamacare?
Sorry if I seem a little fired up over this. I work in the Oncology field and as most are aware, we are trying to prepare ourselves for the upcoming Medicare cutbacks on all cancer treatment meds. Out of this entire article, the sentence that stood out the most… unemployed, he is paying $200 every month toward the millions he still owes in restitution. Really? Curious as to why he is unable to work. The government will support a person who is more than likely capable of working but they will take away from Cancer patients that are fighting for their lives.
Just a stab in the dark but i’m guessing he’s unable to work because he has a recent felony conviction for fraud and assault. He might be able to get a job as a farmhand picking strawberries.
Faulkner’s lawyer asked for a delay so he could go to rehab for alcoholism? I can’t think of a better rehab program than federal prison.

Looks like these are some of those 47%ers that just want to take from the government.

If they pay for the insurance after the fact, where is the consideration? Doesn’t seem like insurance to me.
