G.S. Levine Ins. Announces Addition of Two New Executives

San Diego, Calif.-based G.S Levine Insurance Services Inc. announced that Chris Clark has recently joined their firm as vice president- Sales, Marketing & Acquisitions.

“Chris will be responsible for helping us accelerate our growth beyond what our current plans can provide. Under his leadership, we hope to develop an additional channel for growing the agency by recruiting bright, eager producers and by acquiring books of business compatible with our existing book” said Gary Levine, president. “We are very pleased that he has joined us to give us a dedicated senior-level executive to concentrate on planning, strategies and tactics without the burden of producing a book of business himself.”

In addition, Clark will concentrate on using the existing base of business as a launching pad for further growth.

Clark has 25 years of industry experience, with 15 as owner of his own agency in Los Angeles. As a sales and marketing professional he has helped grow several businesses through special niche programs, solution selling techniques and acquisitions.

Additionally, Steve Thompson recently joined as director of Risk Management.

Thompson’s 20-year background includes health, safety, insurance, and business operations. He most recently worked as manager, Safety & Health Department for Zenith Insurance Company, and is the former program coordinator for the Occupational Health and Safety Program – Extended Studies at San Diego State University, where he also served as adjunct professor for eight years. He is a past president for the San Diego Insurance Adjusters, and has served as director of Operations for the Pacific Safety Council.

He is the author of two books: Outliving Polycystic Kidney Disease (to be published in Nov. 2003), and Basics of California Workers’ Compensation and Safety (2001). He has published over twenty articles and reports on the subject of leadership, safety, health, insurance, and risk management.
