Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) in St. Paul, Minn., recently partnered with G.E. Young & Co., a third-party claims administrator headquartered in the Denver area. G.E. Young & Co. is providing claims management services for the district’s workers’ compensation program.
SPPS is a public entity serving more than 41,000 students from 114 locations, including learning centers, elementary schools, middle schools and high schools. The district selected G.E. Young & Co. to provide workers’ compensation claims management as a result of a request for proposal (RFP), according to SPPS Benefits Specialist Carol Ekstrand. The district had not published an RFP for workers’ compensation administration for four years.
