Barney & Barney Creates Compensation Consulting Practice

San Diego-based Barney & Barney LLC has launched a national Compensation Consulting Practice. This new addition will offer clients a specialized level of expertise in the areas of executive compensation, sales effectiveness consulting and rewards advisory services. The practice will be led by Jeremy Anderson, who joined the firm as a principal on January 1.

“Jeremy and his team have particular expertise in working with firms in the life sciences and technology sectors. These are two core industry areas for Barney & Barney, as we represent a large constituency of these companies in California,” said Principal Shawn Pynes, who heads the firm’s Employee Benefits Division.

Prior to joining Barney & Barney, Anderson worked for leading compensation consulting firms, helping companies to design and implement executive compensation programs, sales incentive plans, equity strategies and performance management systems. He will expand these offerings at Barney & Barney and also assist clients with the development of organization-wide communication strategies in support of new program launches.

“In the near future, the integration of compensation and benefits strategies and the link between audit and compensation committees will drive significant changes in the way companies reward their employees,” Anderson said.
