Momentous Insurance Brokerage of Van Nuys, Calif., has announced a strategic partnership with Doodson Entertainment, a specialist brokerage firm in the United Kingdom and the United States, to bring enhanced capability in placing non-appearance and event cancellation insurance solutions.
Non-appearance and event cancellation insurance is one of the ways touring artists, concert promoters and event organizers manage financial risk. A wide range of circumstances can prevent a scheduled event from taking place, including severe weather, damage to venue, injury or illness of a performer, and loss of power. Should an event be cancelled, there are likely to be significant expenses to be covered and a potential loss of profit.
Momentous Insurance Brokerage has established a large music and touring entertainment practices in the United States, and the partnership will strengthen its capabilities in non-appearance coverage by expanding its presence in the London marketplace, the company said.
