Los Angeles-based Mercury Insurance is hiring 63 full-time property claims employees in its California, Texas, New Jersey and New York offices to support its growing customer base. Mercury’s homeowners business has increased by more than 10 percent since the beginning of the year.
Mercury, which specializes in personal auto and homeowners insurance sold through independent agents, is currently filling positions through the first quarter of 2012 for property field adjusters, support specialists, managers and supervisors. These new employees will receive several weeks of training and will join Mercury’s team of more than 4,000 employees and 5,000 local agents in 13 states to facilitate property claims.
“We’re helping put Americans back to work,” said Clarisa Eng, Mercury’s human resources director.
