It’s always sad when deaths occur on the highway. Obviously hysterically motivated anti-texting laws have no effect on traffic safety.

The article says 57 deaths on Nevada Highways. How much traffic volume was involved ? What efforts have been made to determine the actual cause of these deaths ?

This seems like a pretty logical conclusion to me. The penalties for texting and driving kicked in on 1/1/12. Thus, the texters had to hide their phones lower out of vision. Texting then became more dangerous than ever because the distracted drivers had to remove their eyes from the road for an even longer stretch of time.
