Legalizing this in essence law-breaking and criminal business model serve no purpose to anyone except Uber billionaire owners standing to profit handsomely from this scam.

Uber is a taxicab operation. There are laws and rules in this
industry. Apply same laws and rules to them. No more excuses.

No more “we are different” because Uber is NOT different.
    Enough lies and deception.

Insuring ride-“sharing” vehicles will prove to be a losing proposition as careless insurers will be soon to find out.

There is only one way to stop the uber nonsense: all the drivers need to go on strike.

Very well said Mike, and I very much agree!

It can’t be TOO law-breaking, since the California Public Utilities Commission (PUC) has oversight of it.

One of the complaints regarding Uber was the insurance issue. That issue appears to be resolved, so stop the union sniveling already.

In the words of one of my passengers (who is an attorney), Uber is here to stay. If you don’t like it, don’t drive for Uber or patronize the business.

Uber has lied so many times that this miniscule irrelevant step means very little.

And who is going to be responsible to verify that everyone of their drivers has this insurance and guarantees it will remain in force while they are driving?

Second: It is strange that if they have a passenger in the car, they are covered up to $1 Million for injuries.

Yet, after dropping the passenger off, if they run him/her over and paralyze them, they have either No Insurance Coverage (or maybe $7,500/$15,000).

I guess this is gov’t crafted insurance.
