The Casualty Claims Adjuster investigates, manages, and resolves bodily injury claims assigned directly with injured parties while providing exceptional service to policyholders.

Location Requirement: All qualified applicants must reside within a 50-mile radius of one of the following offices:
  • Marlton, NJ
  • Clifton Park, NY
  • Lake Mary, FL
  • Suwanee, GA


Hybrid Work Arrangement


During the first few months following virtual training, several in-office days each month may be required to support learning and relationship building. After training, this position requires a minimum of two in-office days per month, with occasional additional days for special meetings throughout the year.

Training is a critical component of success. Reliable attendance and active engagement throughout the training period are mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate coverage and liability, assess damages, and settle bodily injury claims within assigned authority levels.
  • Proactively contact injured parties, demonstrate empathy, and pursue early settlement opportunities when appropriate.
  • Identify suspicious claims for SIU referral and recognize third-party subrogation opportunities.
  • Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants via phone, writing, and text messaging to gather information and resolve claims.
  • Maintain appropriate claim reserves.
  • Safeguard financial transactions and confidential claim information.
  • Use loss management tools and best practices to support accurate decision-making.
  • Maintain clear, thorough claim documentation throughout the claim lifecycle.


Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.
  • Growth mindset with the ability to adapt to changing processes and technology.
  • Basic knowledge of legal liability, insurance coverage, and state tort law preferred.
  • Liability claims experience or insurance policy and claims knowledge preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to obtain required licensing.
