I have found some of Lencioni’s books to be simplistic, but not the 5 Dysfunctions. I totally agree that it’s worth digging into with your team. Even better is using The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team which combines the 5 Dysfunctions and a personality assessment. Spending time really working on trust and conflict pays off later when working on the hardest of the five behaviors: accountability. Accountability can’t be the responsibility of only the manager or team leader.
