The rate cut approved for employers insured by Rhode Island’s biggest workers’ compensation insurer, Beacon Mutual Insurance Co. The company said the rate reduction would save its 14,000 policyholders an estimated $7.5 million in premium. The rates will be effective Oct. 1.
