A Waterloo, Iowa, insurance agent convicted of fraud has been handed a 15-year prison sentence for bilking elderly clients out of at least $1 million. In sentencing Jack Straw on Sept. 22, U.S. District Judge Linda Reade opted to go beyond the maximum recommended sentence of eight to 10 years. According to the Associated Press, Straw pled guilty in February to seven fraud and money laundering charges.
