The program includes supervisory coverage for the broker/dealer; wrongful acts include libel, slander, defamation, disparagement, or violation of a right to privacy; prelitigation assistance up to $10,000 annually for legal counsel to address disciplinary proceedings and responses to subpoenas. Optional coverages include coverage for REIT’s, limited partnerships and direct private placements; trade error coverage; full discretionary authority coverage; full prior acts coverage (subject to proof of insurance); transitional coverage for notices submitted to prior carrier (limited basis only).

Nuts & Bolts: Hannover Re subsidiary International Insurance Company of Hannover Limited named Rockwood Programs Inc. as administrator of an errors and omissions product specifically designed to address liability exposures faced by managing general agencies (MGAs), program administrators and large wholesale operations. This coverage will be marketed under the name of the Rockwood Defender and is written on a claims-made and reported basis. The policy includes carrier insolvency and punitive damages (where insurable) and can be endorsed to include supplemental defense limits and first dollar defense.
