Kingsway Financial Services Inc. will begin writing nonstandard auto insurance in California through its wholly owned subsidiary, Lincoln General Insurance Company. The company received notification of approval of its California license and is now able to expand the relationship it had previously entered into with the Access Group, a privately held Atlanta, Ga.-based operation offering nonstandard auto and property services, together with turnkey claims management. Access General Insurance Agency of CA Inc. represents Lincoln General exclusively for the new program. Kingsway currently operates through nine wholly owned subsidiaries in Canada and the U.S. and also operates reinsurance subsidiaries in Barbados and Bermuda.
