ChoicePoint, an Alpharetta, Ga.-based identification and credential verification services provider, has acquired Priority Data Systems, of Omaha, Neb., a provider of comparative rating software to the independent insurance agency market. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Priority Data Systems acquisition strengthens ChoicePoint as a personal lines provider of insurance products and services to companies and agents. In 2000, Priority launched its PriorityRate.com comparative rater, which now includes quotes with automatically integrated information to improve the accuracy of comparative rating.
