First Profession-als Insurance Company (FPIC), has announced an alliance with Rightfield Solutions LLC to promote Expectation Management and Medical Information (Emmi), a Web-based risk management and patient satisfaction tool. FPIC covers 7,400 multi-specialty physicians and 2,800 dentists in solo and group practices around Florida. Rightfield Solutions developed Emmi, under terms of the agreement FPIC policyholders will obtain Emmi at a significant discount. Bob White, FPIC president explained that Emmi gives patients access to a simple-to-use tool that will increase understanding of their medical procedures, and that knowledge may reduce the frequency of malpractice claims.
