Doug Childers Jr. has been appointed president of LassiterWare Insurance in Leesburg, Florida.

Childers will report to Ted Ostrander Jr., the CEO. Childers has a decade of experience providing commercial insurance accounts with risk management services. The agency also has offices in The Villages, Ocala, Maitland, Tampa and Jacksonville.

Swett & Crawford Wholesale has appointed Anthony “Tony” Mastrolia as executive vice president of Construction. Mastrolia brings to Swett & Crawford 35 years of experience in insurance and construction risk management. Most recently, he served as managing director, and practice group leader of Marsh in construction. Prior to that affiliation, he spent 15 years at AON Risk Services where he rose to executive vice president, national broking officer in the firm’s construction group. Mastrolia has also held positions with Gow & Hanna Group, where he co-founded the broker’s construction industry unit, and Corroon & Black.

Lighthouse Property Insurance Corp. has named Loren Gallogly as a new manager of sales and marketing charged with expanding the insurer’s sales in South Carolina and Louisiana. Gallogly has 30 years of experience in the industry, most recently serving as a product development consultant for Alternative Risk Consulting, LLC. He was also a key member developing the Coventry Shield Personal Inland Marine Program for the Florida Association of Insurance Agents.

Lighthouse also promoted Sidney Bright to manager of operations to oversee the insurer’s claims information and policy administration. Before the promotion, Bright served as the insurer’s underwriting manager. His new duties will include assuring the coordination of claims information and policy administration to ensure the delivery of products and services. He will also continue to lead the insurer’s underwriting department. Bright has 25 years of experience in the insurance industry.

Orlando, Fla.-based Lighthouse is an admitted carrier for homeowners insurance and other property/casualty products in the southeast United States.

Bill Keogh, who until recently was president of catastrophe risk modeling firm Eqecat, has joined reinsurance broking and risk/capital management firm TigerRisk Partners. Keogh joins TigerRisk as a partner and will be a member of the corporate Decision Support Team.
