New Officers are President David Keleher, CPCU, Farmers Insurance Group; President Elect Anne Loeper, CPCU, Farmers Insurance Group; Vice President James Brown, CPCU, Allianz Insurance; Secretary John Klaprat, CPCU, Farmers Insurance Group; Treasurer Cedric Nellum, CPCU, Deans and Homer; and Past President Sharon Heard, CPCU, Farmers Insurance Group.

New Directors are Jim Carper, CPCU, Farmers Insurance Group; John Chesebrough, CPCU, Chesebrough Associates; Marco de Leon, CPCU, Marsh Inc.; Mary King, CPCU, Swett and Crawford; Tracy Leventhal, CPCU, General Re Corporation; Barbara Lucas, CPCU; Tessa Lucero, CPCU, Marsh Inc.; Karen Oxman, CPCU, Gelfand, Newman & Wasserman; Pat Rosandich, CPCU, Fireman’s Fund; and George Wallace, CPCU, Wallace, Grantham & Schwartz LLP.

Bruce Williams, CPCU, CLU, National President of the CPCU Society and Executive Vice President of Glatfelter Insurance Group, was guest speaker following the installation ceremony. His theme was “Living the CPCU Pledge”.

Williams emphasized the importance of CPCU’s building a long-term relationship with customers. He noted that intense competition is here to stay. Nobody sells anything until someone buys something. E-commerce customers want convenience but they also want quality service. There are many competitors in today’s insurance industry and our job as CPCU’s is to develop new ideas, products and services which haven’t been available to consumers.

Williams concluded by stating that producers want easier access and a better professional relationship with the companies they represent. This relationship will result in a positive return to customers and improve the value of the product we sell. Newly installed Chapter President David Keleher adjourned the meeting after thanking everyone for the opportunity to serve as President.
