The Surety Information Office (SIO) named the Surety Association of San Diego recipent of the 2001 Gold Award for Excellence in Surety Bond Promotion for its dedication to education and outreach.
The award was presented on May 3 at the Surety Association of America Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C., and on May 8 at the National Association of Surety Bond Producers Annual Meeting in Hot Springs, Va.
Additionally, individual members of the Surety Association of San Diego were recognized for their efforts. They include:

SIO also named the Surety Association of Nevada recipient of the 2001 Silver Award for Excellence in Surety Bond Promotion.
