Volunteers from the Los Angeles Chapter of CPCU, in association with the Insurance Industry Charitable Fund’s Bridge Week, spent the morning examining and sorting food products for the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank. The group of 30 volunteers was made up of CPCU’s, other insurance professionals and their families and friends.
The Los Angeles Regional Foodbank, a non-profit organization, distributes food to a network of over 1,000 charities in Los Angeles County. More than 400,000 needy people receive food each week. Without volunteers, the Foodbank would not be able to mobilize community resources to fight hunger.
This event is one of several Good Works Projects performed by the Los Angeles Chapter of CPCU each year.
