Cheryl Celcer has joined wholesale insurance provider Swett & Crawford after a nearly 30-year career with The Hartford, in which she held the position of executive select customer sales representative. Celcer will work out of her office in Oklahoma City. She plans to expand her client base in other states as well.

Jason Dalton joined Swett & Crawford in its Dallas office as part of the Transportation Practice Group. He holds the title of vice president, Transportation.

Prior to joining Swett & Crawford, Jason spent 13 years at another major wholesaler where he rose from a claims manager to broker/underwriter and, ultimately, to assistant vice president – Transportation. His expertise includes underwriting and placement of auto liability, physical damage, cargo and excess liability for trucking and commercial auto.

The Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”) announced that Patricia Ann Daniel of Extraco Insurance in Waco, Texas, has been named Accredited Customer Service Representative (ACSR) of the year. The ACSR program is a joint effort of the Big “I,” the Independent the American Institutes for CPCU (AICPCU) and the Insurance Institute of America (IIA).

Daniel joined the Extraco Insurance team in 2004 and has more than 16 years of experience in the insurance industry. She earned her ACSR life/health designation in 2001.

National wholesale commercial insurance broker, USG Insurance Services Inc., has promoted Gina Lee to brokerage manager in the company’s Louisiana office.

Lee joined USG in August 2006 as a senior underwriter and broker. She has worked in the insurance industry for 25 years and has experience in both the retail and wholesale sides of the business.

Prior to joining USG, Lee worked as a manager at Hartwig Moss Ltd. and J. Everett Eaves. Lee specializes in large account and national programs for auto liability, including truckers and garage liability.

Van Wagoner Cos. Inc., a Dallas-based subsidiary of independent Lloyd’s broker Chesterfield Group, has appointed James V. Flitt as marketing executive and North American marketing director for Chesterfield Insurance Brokers Limited.

Flitt has more than 40 years of retail and wholesale insurance experience in the U.S. and London markets. He will work with Simon Bancroft, executive vice president at Van Wagoner, to grow the company’s existing business and increase Van Wagoner’s brokerage presence, in addition to developing new markets, products and sources of business for Van Wagoner and the Chesterfield Group.

Van Wagoner was acquired by the Chesterfield Group in 2005.

The Woodlands Financial Group Inc. (TWFG), a retail and managing general agency headquartered in The Woodlands, Texas, has opened three new branch locations.

Cal Nunnally opened a new branch location in Garland, Texas. Nunnally comes to TWFG with more than 32 years of insurance experience, most of which were with Allstate.

Geneva Wiltz opened a new branch location in Houston. Wiltz has more than four years’ experience in the insurance industry, some of which were with Farmers and the rest as an independent agent for TWFG.

Anamaria Aljure opened a new branch location in Cooper City, Fla. Aljure comes to TWFG with more than five years in the insurance industry all of which were with Allstate.

Insurance Network of America, a national insurance broker headquartered in Austin, Texas, announced it continues to strengthen its law firm insurance and risk mitigation presence with the addition of Anne R. Yeakel to its Professional Services Practice.

Yeakel is the former director of the UT Law Alumni Association at the UT Law School Foundation and the former executive director of the Texas Bar Foundation of the State Bar of Texas.
