San Diego, Calif.-based Barney & Barney LLC named four senior executives to principals of the firm in California.

The new owners are: Dianne Wingfield and Todd Bennett, executives in the firm’s employee benefits practice in San Diego; Steve Fisk, an executive in the firm’s property/casualty group in Orange County, and Brian Hegarty, an executive in the employee benefits practice in Orange County.

Wingfield is responsible for strategic program design and implementation of employee benefits programs for both fully-insured and self-insured programs. She joined Barney & Barney’s in 2009 and has more than 35 years of experience.

Bennett’s focus is providing solutions to the needs of mid-market companies. He joined Barney & Barney in 2006 and has 14 years of healthcare industry experience. Prior to Barney & Barney, Bennett worked for Genworth Financial.

Fisk joined Barney & Barney’s in 2009 and has 10 years of experience designing and brokering risk-transfer programs. Fisk also co-leads the firm’s apparel practice group in Orange County. Prior to Barney & Barney, he worked at Liberty Mutual.

Hegarty joined Barney & Barney in 2008 and has 10 years of experience. He specializes in employee benefits programs for mid-sized and large companies in Orange and Los Angeles counties. Prior to Barney & Barney, Hegarty worked as a sales executive for CIGNA and Health Net.

Barney & Barney now has 40 partners in its four offices in San Diego, Orange County, Oakland and San Francisco.

Wells Fargo Insurance named Jon Lindstrom managing director for its Colorado offices.

Lindstrom will lead business development, client service and sales, and cross-sell for the company’s insurance operations in Colorado.

Lindstrom joined Wells Fargo in 2012 as a commercial bank sales executive in the Denver market. Prior to Wells Fargo, he worked at Arthur J. Gallagher, and also held various roles at Willis Group Holdings, including vice president of business development and regional practice leader for the real estate division. His expertise includes development and construction risk management as well as commercial distressed assets and portfolios.

Wells Fargo Insurance is part of San Francisco, Calif.-based Wells Fargo & Co.

Encino, Calif.-based NAS Insurance Services has hired Tim Troester as vice president of entertainment and sports.

Troester was formerly with US Risk Insurance Group Inc., and Hays Cos.

NAS’ Entertainment and Sports division provides coverage for general liability, excess and umbrella liability.

NAS is an independent underwriting manager of specialty insurance with full binding authority to underwrite on behalf of Lloyd’s of London.

Wholesaler All Risks Ltd. named Darren Chilimidos vice president casualty broker to the San Francisco, Calif. office.

Chilimidos has experience specializing in construction risks of all sizes in all states. Other casualty expertise includes multi-state OLT, products liability, and large, layered Excess programs for all types of risks.

His connection to the Bay Area includes working for Tri-City Brokerage Inc. and Crump Group Inc. Most recently he served as senior vice president and casualty practice leader for at Socius Insurance Services Inc.

All Risks Ltd. based in Hunt Valley, Md., employs 500 staff members in offices located in Maryland, Arizona, California, Washington, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington.

SullivanCurtisMonroe named Gabriela Hernandez associate vice president in its benefits division in Southern California.

Hernandez joins SCM from Willis. She has 25 years’ experience in health care, and has held lead positions in client management and consulting on both the broker and carrier sides. Hernandez will focus on managing and creating solutions for SCM clients.

Privately-held SCM is a full-service insurance agency focused on middle market companies, and it has offices in Irvine, Pasadena and Corona.

Burnham Benefits Insurance Services named Janet Vreeland as a vice president in Southern California.

Vreeland has more than 25 years of experience, and will focus on growing Burnham’s clientele in the Southern California and Arizona markets.

Vreeland was formerly with Aon Risk Insurance Services West Inc. in Phoenix, Ariz., where she was a vice president.

Irvine, Calif.-based Burnham Benefits has three offices in California: Irvine, Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, as well as offices in Oregon and Washington D.C.

Scottsdale Insurance Co. named Steve Franke as vice president of contract underwriting for the Western region.

Franke will oversee the Northwest, Southwest and Pacific regions. He will report to Gary Tiepelman, senior vice president of contract underwriting. Franke replaces Dave McDermid, who retired from Scottsdale in December, 2012.

Franke has 32 years’ experience in the specialty lines business. He most recently served as vice president of agency management and business development at Scottsdale Insurance. Franke has served in management roles at various E&S firms. Franke is also a board member the Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas.

Scottsdale Insurance is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nationwide Co.

Edgewood Partners Insurance Center named Janice Stanger an account executive on its Los Angeles benefits consulting team. EPIC also named Terri Parreira as a property and casualty insurance producer and principal in its Fresno, Calif. office.

Stanger will provide client service leadership, including strategy, coverage negotiations, compliance consulting and managing internal and external resources.

Stanger has 27 years of experience. Before EPIC, Stanger was a senior account executive at Intercare Insurance Solutions. Prior to that Stanger was with Barney & Barney LLC, CIGNA Healthcare, and Mercer.

Parreira’s responsibilities will include the acquisition of new clients as well as the design, placement and management of risk management and property/ casualty insurance programs.

Parreira has experience in risk management, property and liability insurance and workers’ compensation cost control. Prior to EPIC, Parreira was with Arthur J. Gallagher in Fresno, where she was most recently an area vice president.

EPIC has nine offices across California: Los Angeles, Irvine, Fresno, Folsom, San Francisco, San Mateo, Petaluma, San Ramon and Ontario.

San Francisco, Calif.-based Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. named Kristina Keck to the firm’s employee benefits practice as an account executive for retirement plans.

Keck will serve as a lead consultant in the capacity of investment reporting and annual plan compliance, and she will serve as the lead consultant with regards to employee enrollment and participant investment education services.

Keck has 20 years of experience consulting in the retirement plan and pensions market. She began her career in that field at Northwestern Mutual Life. Prior to Woodruff-Sawyer, Keck worked as an accredited investment fiduciary, retirement Plan consultant and investment advisor representative with ClearPoint Financial.

Woodruff-Sawyer has offices throughout California and in Portland, Ore.

David Brandeis was named chief operating officer for Strongwood Insurance Holdings, while Larry Oslie was promoted to executive vice president of business development and Laura Dubois was made executive vice president of account management services for Networked Insurance Agents.

Brandeis will lead cross-functional initiatives for all distribution companies. He joined Strongwood in 2004 as chief information officer, and will continue to serve in that role as well.

Oslie, who joined Networked in 2003, will lead all teams with pre-bind responsibilities: new business placement in the Northern California and Southern California offices, sales, online placement, personal lines placement, and affiliate services. Oslie will also serve as office manager for the Orange office.

Dubois has held several leadership roles within Strongwood since 2006. She will work from the Grass Valley office and will lead the new account management services team.

Strongwood Insurance Holdings, Networked Insurance Agents, Northeast Agencies and AmCom Insurance Services are the companies of Strongwood Insurance Holdings.

Networked has offices in Northern and Southern California, and serves more than 1,000 agent affiliate members in 10 Western states.

David Buchanan and Toni Heyneker have joined G2 Insurance Services in Northern California.

Heyneker joined as director of operations. Heyneker has 33 years of insurance experience. She spent much of her career in finance, but has been involved in operations for the last eight years. Heyneker was with Goldman Insurance Services when they were bought by Willis, where she spent the last 10 years.

Buchanan joined as an associate producer in G2’s commercial lines department.

San Francisco-based G2 offers a variety of products, including personal and commercial, equine and employee benefits.
