Cobbs Allen, a national insurance and risk management firm headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., has hired Tyrenda Williams-Reed as its new Human Resources director.

Reed will be responsible for company-wide human resource services, recruitment and talent development. As a member of the Cobbs Allen leadership team, she will help strategic growth by building the company’s brand and adding new talent.

Previous to joining Cobbs Allen, she served as head of Human Resources for America’s Thrift Stores and director of Outreach for the A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Club.

Reed received a master’s degree in journalism and Latin American and Caribbean studies from New York University. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science from Birmingham Southern College.

In addition to its Birmingham office, Cobbs Allen also has offices in Houston, Kansas City and New Orleans and offers traditional commercial insurance, surety services, employee benefits services, personal insurance services and alternative risk financing services.

American Integrity has selected Cory Brown as its chief financial officer. He will lead the company’s accounting team and be an integral part of its executive leadership team.

Brown has nearly two decades of experience, most recently serving as CFO of Medmal Direct Insurance Co. in Jacksonville, Fla., a medical malpractice insurance carrier for physician practices.

Brown also worked as CFO at Total Captive Solutions, a private risk retention, captive manager and third party adjuster in the medical malpractice market.

Additionally, he held positions with the Office of the Commissioner of Insurance in Georgia, where he worked closely with CEOs and CFOs of insurance and asset management companies.

American Intergrity said Brown’s hiring is a reflection of a period of significant growth for the company.

American Integrity Insurance added it is actively hiring for a number of positions in various fields.

American Integrity Insurance, a Florida domiciled residential property insurer, is represented by more than 900 independent agents. The Tampa-based company offers property insurance coverages, including traditional home insurance and coverage for vacant homes, condominiums, manufactured homes and dwelling fire policies.

Ted Young has joined Alliant as senior vice president within the company’s Alliant Americas middle market division. The Georgia-based Young will facilitate Alliant’s continued expansion throughout the Southeast.

Young’s experience includes technology, media, and communications, as well as more than two decades of experience originating and managing client relationships across a range of other industries, including publishing, manufacturing, aviation services, higher education and public entities.

Prior to joining Alliant, Young was senior vice president and Southeast Communications, Media, and Technology Practice leader with a global insurance brokerage firm. He also has experience on the client side of the business as a corporate risk manager.

Young holds a bachelor’s degree in risk management and insurance from the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business.

Next Level Administrators (NLA), a Bradenton, Fla.-based data-focused claims administration organization, has appointed Angela Blanch as vice president of Business Development.

Prior to joining the company, Blanch worked with various TPA’s including CorVel Corporation, Sedgwick CMS, Cambridge, and GatesMcDonald. For more than 16 years, Blanch managed insurance company relationships, directed client relationships, insured programs, self-insured programs and PEOs.

At NLA, Blanch will be responsible for new business acquisitions, consultative services, client relationships and marketing. She has a proven track record of working with clients to develop strategies to shorten claims duration, improve return to work programs and reduce overall financial expense.

NLA is a full service workers’ compensation claims and program administration firm that provides integrated insurance services to carriers, program managers, captives and self-insured employers.
