Pennsylvania-based Meyer & Eckenrode Insurance Group, an affiliate of Sky Financial Group, announced the appointment of Edward D. Rawlings to the position of Regional President. He will oversee M&E’s regional insurance operations, reporting directly to Jerry Batt, CEO of Sky Insurance.
“We are very pleased to make this announcement,” Batt stated. “Ed has been a valuable leader in our organization for many years and his experience will help Sky continue to grow its retail and commercial insurance business in the eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania area.”
Rawlings has over 29 years of experience in the insurance industry. Since 1983 he has served as president of Knox & Knox, a subsidiary company of Meyer & Eckenrode. He has obtained both his CPCU and CIC designations. He began working with the company in sales after graduating from Clarion University. He has also been involved with the Butler County Airport Authority; Associated Builders & Contractors of Western Pennsylvania; Construction Financial Management Association; and Society of CPCUs.
