The American Insurance Association announced the appointment of Laura L. Kersey to the position of assistant vice president, northeast region.
Kersey will be based in AIA’s Albany, N.Y. office, where she will handle legislative and regulatory issues in the seven-state northeast region, which includes New York and the six New England states. She will focus on New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and New York.
“Laura Kersey comes to the northeast region from AIA’s Law Department in Washington, DC. She brings a wealth of knowledge on insurance issues and about AIA’s member companies. Her experience and enthusiasm will be a tremendous addition to the AIA team,” stated Paul Moran, AIA vice president, northeast region.
Kersey has been a counsel in AIA’s Law Department since 1996. She has worked with member companies primarily on compliance, property, asbestos and environmental issues. She is a graduate of the George Washington University Law School and has a BA from the University of Tennessee.
