The Liquor Liability Joint Underwriting Association of Massachusetts in Westboro, Mass. has named Dana C. Marchant of Hopkinton to the position of vice president of claims.
Marchant previously served as director of field services at Renaissance Alliance Insurance Services in Wellesley. Before that, he was vice president, Southern New England claims, at One Beacon Insurance Co., CGU, Commercial Union Insurance Co. of Foxboro, where he was responsible for three claims branch offices. He served in various others positions with Commercial Union, including claims manager, claims supervisor and claims adjuster.
The LLJUA is a last-resort liquor liability insurance provider for businesses that have been turned down for coverage in the voluntary market at least three times.
