    Dear Insurers:

As I told you before, your money is no good in Massachusetts. Please pack your bags and take your business plans elsewhere. Maybe a state with less catastrophe exposure and less political interference will suit you better. In fact, why don\’t you just make toasters, cause then I wouldn\’t try to fix your price for you, because everybody needs their toast (not to mention warm Pop Tarts), but they can live without insurance from you greedy insurers. And the state fixing the price for toasters is unthinkable, un-American…..ummm, wait, do you think Elliot has looked at toaster manufacturers yet….maybe I can take the lead on the toaster thing and get a little press of my own…oh, heck, I\’ll have to get back to you on the toaster thing…but where was I….Oh, yeah, I was reminding you insurers about how much more I understand insurance pricing than you do. I can\’t possibly be wrong — I\’m the almighty AG.

    Love,

    Tom

While you\’re at it, can you look at the cost of gas? And you know, my family goes through a lot of milk, and at over $3/gallon, what are those money-hungry dairy farmers up to?

Oh, by the way, can you chime in on cable TV? Why should I have to pay for my entertainment? The major networks all have plenty of money to ensure (oops, close to a bad word) that I\’m sufficiently occupied in my easy chair without actually expecting to possibly make a profit.

Thanks from the average MA citizen and AG supporter.

Tom Reilly should wake up and smell the coffee. I\’ve just received a memo from one of the largest mutual insurers of property on Cape Cod, and guess what?? They are walking away effective 4/1/06. And he thinks that rate reductions are going to bring in more companies??? They are running for the hills !!! Stick to putting your nose where it doesn\’t belong in the court system and stay out of the insurance business, you don\’t know your *** from your elbow. And the political grandstanding has to stop.
