Okay, we know that the \”powers that be\”…including those who might be liable and those who hold the insurance burden are NEVER going to admit to any kind of responsibility relative to exposure to elements….HELLO…remember ASBESTOS?? Well, our family has suffered dearly from mold in schools, homes and renovations.

All of these claims being made are extremely valid. I have fought for the children exposed in area schools where they have suffered skin, respiratory and other ailments relative to exposure. Teachers have been left disabled no longer being able to teach or function in their homes as parents. Do any of you realize that mold is used as biological warfare?????

I think it is absurdly shortsighted and ignorant of those who know nothing about exposure to make statments relative to this and think that anyone who is educated and experienced would take them seriously.

May God Forgive your ignorance and cruelty.

P.S. My husband is an attorney and I have never made a claim for mold from anyone , anywhere. We have suffered greatly fiancially, emotionally and physically yet have never recouperated financially or in any other way. This is NOT ABOUT MONEY.
Get a grip those who just don\’t understand. KARMA is out there. If you don\’t get it …….YOU WILL GET IT.

All TV news is a waste of time. The truth of a story no longer matters, and the more disturbing or gruesome the better for ratings. Each station has its own agenda to push. Instead, I have my selection of web news sites that I can read and get both sides of each issue…and form my own opinions.

I\’m not that familiar with Workers Comp but I believe you can sue if you can prove employer intent or negligence at some high level.

Danny – still curious if you intended to impune the US in some way. What did you mean?

Yea, this country is run by the illuminaty and they are not concerned with what best for the USA, they are just attempting to redistrubute all our wealth throughout the world. FOX news is all BOLD FACE LIES.

Thanks for the clarification. As long as you\’re attacking the leaders and not the country, I can live with that.

I definitely agree we send too much money overseas but I\’d say the CNN/Network news crowd are much bigger redistributionists than the Fox news folks.

However, if you can take it for what its worth it can be entertaining. Not impuning the US at all. I\’m saying its very American and I love it.

Regarding the exclusive remedy question, I think the answer may be that the defendants are both the building owner and Fox. If the building owner were liable for employee injuries they would be able to implead the employer – Fox News. The liability to the employer would therefore be indirect and not barred by the WC exclusive remedy rule.

    Only speculation of course.

So? Fox presents almost as many \”Liberals\” commenting on issues as NPR does, only NPR presents itself as unbiased. It is nothing more than an arm of the Democrat Party and the sooner it is defunded by the government the better. It is nothing but musty, empty socialist rhetoric. Free nations do not need state-runh media.

No, actually I consider myself a liberal, and Alan Colmes is not representative of who I am…if that\’s the best that Fox can do for a differing point of view, then how \”fair and balanced\” are they?

At least you can have a sense of humor about your shortcomings.

As you know, Fox regularly features the likes of Bob Beckel, Susan Estritch, Paul Bagala, etc. Alan Combs is a typical liberal, by the way. The primary quality of a liberal is disregard for the facts in favor of sentiment, symbolism over substance, etc. Alan fits that bill perfectly. He\’s right out of central casting.

Liberalism is irrationality masquerading as a political philosophy. Not to put too fine a point on it, but it is a mental disorder as far as I\’m concerned. It treats people as if they don\’t know what\’s good for them, cannot help themselves, are victims of those \”more fortunate,\” etc.

Liberalism is envy writ large. It exploits guilt and pity and satisfies neither, which is why it is still around: like the horse leech and her sister, whose names are More and More.

\”It treats people as if they don\’t know what\’s good for them, cannot help themselves, are victims of those \”more fortunate,\” etc. \”

And Republicans tell people they aren\’t smart enough to do their own family planning, either by choosing when and how to become parents or when to end ones life in a dignified manner when death is imminent. Liberals endorse the right to chose- when did that become such a bad thing in a country dedicated to freedom?

Terry Schaivo didn\’t have a choice, and neither did 50 million unborn children. Abortion is not \”family planning,\” it\’s infanticide, which has only recently come back into vogue in what was formerly considered Christendom.

So it\’s like like I said, liberals think they know what\’s best for others – even when to kill them, even the most innocent of them. Thanks for confirming my point.

The best way to end abortion is to let all who believe it is their right to kill innocent unborn babies continue to kill their own and we will eventually be rid of them all.

That is as execrable as any pro-abortion argument. The point that you are muissing is that the babies are innocent. It\’s not that they are destined to grow up liberals Democrats or something. They are all redeemable. And whether or not you want to believe it, the grandchildren of pro-lifers are aborted too.

I quote you….\”The primary quality of a liberal is disregard for the facts in favor of sentiment, symbolism over substance, etc.\” Conservatives, instead, just shout down their opposition.

\”Liberalism is irrationality masquerading as a political philosophy. Not to put too fine a point on it, but it is a mental disorder as far as I\’m concerned. It treats people as if they don\’t know what\’s good for them, cannot help themselves, are victims of those \”more fortunate,\” etc.

Liberalism is envy writ large. It exploits guilt and pity and satisfies neither, which is why it is still around: like the horse leech and her sister, whose names are More and More.\” Your words…

What kind of crap is this? It is easy for \”conservatives\” to reduce any argument to name calling. Always making things an \”us who know better\” against \”those idiots\”….do you ever do any real thinking? Or is it easier to let someone else do it for you, like your buddy Rush Bombast? the great voice of the right who is hiding behind some liberal lawyer\’s interpretation of the fourth amendment instead of going to jail like the common criminal that he is? The right has been out of power so long that they forgot that they were accorded minority rights by the majority; now as the majority, they want to spend their political capital by trashing everyone who disagrees with them. I listen to all kinds of sources, read several papers and can make up my own mind. Not everyone makes up their mind by checking with their political party first…..

After all, those death row inmates are full grown human beings who can actually speak and feed themselves etc. Your position is not about the less fortunate or the innocents…it\’s not about killing at all, is it? Its WHO you kill…

I\’m a former Democrat who grew up. Sure, I listen to Rush Limbaugh, who came a long a whihle after my conversion to reality. Do you read Workers World? I used to.

I can\’t find abortion in the Constitution. Can you? Miscreants were being hung for less than murder when the Constitution was ratified, and no one at the time thought that this was going to be nixed by the \”cruel and unusual\” clause. Do you think abortion involves cruel treatment of a baby?

Liberals do not think. They feel. They base their morals on emotion rather than on reality. Liberals feel that a death row inmate is a victim of society, and that a woman\’s choices are limited by childbearing. Hence, Tookie Williams becomes a celebrity and abortion a cause celebre.

No wonder the public has such a bad image of insurance people. It is ok for us to come from different backgrounds and political beliefs considering we sell insurance to a variety of people who don\’t necessarily hold our beliefs. How you can end up insulting each other\’s political standing is embarassing for such professionals. If you don\’t want an abortion, don\’t have one. If you don\’t want sue over an injury, don\’t sue. If you like listening to partisan policitcs then choose that medium. If you cannot get over your personal issues then you probably won\’t last long in this business…I\’ve been at it for 34 years and I can find common ground with most everyone.

I agree with you whole heartedly. The comments on some of these articles get to the point where you start wondering if the poster actually read the article. As professionals, we should stick to posting comments related to insurance. Once you get off the beaten path and start pontificating about politics and religion it usually goes down hill and turns into everyone insulting everyone else. Grow up already.

Until anyone experiences this first hand, no one will admit to the seriousness of the extent of the damage, not only to those individuals but the environment as well. For example, has anyone really been interested in the health of those firemen, police officers, medical professionals and or any others that were at the disaster of the Towers? The Dept of Health claims that they will do nothing since it is too expensive! This is supposed to be a civilized society!???!?!?! God help us all.
