30 minutes is fast…it takes them that long to get organized, fill out the forms, and knock on the door for the bailiff. I was foreperson on week long PI jury and we came back in 25 minutes, having agreed (non-verbally) all week that the plaintiff had no case. We had to wait out the lawyers to earn their money. We made up our minds on Tuesday AM!
With the information given in the articles on this and the expert witnesses that the defense had, I would have been really concerned if they took any longer than that!
Mokey, I guess the fact that you might have pressured a jury inappropriately (by deciding the verdict even before evidence was fully heard)doesn\’t bother you.
I guess that I hope to sit on your jury someday and do the same thing to you.
God Bless America!

If its a bogus case; its a bogus case. If Mokey and friends could figure it out in a day and a half, good for them. The lawyers still get paid one way or the other; just a lot less in the absence of an award.
Actually plaintiff\’s counsel not only doesn\’t get paid. He\’s out of pocket a lot of money. He had to believe in the case or it couldn\’t get to trial. He doesn\’t usually get paid unless he wins.
Hooray! I\’m surprised they even took 30 minutes to deliberate…and shame on that doctor….wonder what his percentage was going to be….Tsk…Tsk….
